Hi, my name is Gethyn and I may be a 10 year old boy but I'm really good at writing. Unlike a lot of people in my class, I would just sit down and write while my friends would sit there, bored. But back to the story of lockdown. Only a few weeks after the start, April came which only meant one thing... I WAS GOING TO SPEND THE REST OF LOCKDOWN AS A TEN YEAR OLD! It was so exciting, sort of. Obviously needing to isolate I couldn't have a party but Skype changed all that. I called all of my friends, opened my presents and really enjoyed my chocolate cake with a big layer of chocolate buttercream on the top surrounding a big 10 made of marshmallows, Yum!?© It was definitely a birthday I would NEVER forget. After a month or so, things were getting really boring. My school work was getting really hard and it was so stressful! At that point Boris had announced that we were allowed to go on walks with people, as long as we socially distanced. It was nice being able to see my best friends (who I knew as the sons of my mum's boyfriend.) Steve (the dad) and his two kids Joe and Billy. It would be nicer to interact with them, but we didn't want to disobey Covid rules. I cannot tell you how overjoyed I was a month a later when Boris announced that we were allowed to open our bubble! I was already seeing my dad as he didn't live with us but it was so good knowing that next time we saw Steve Joe and Billy we could be like a family again!we started to see them a lot more often and then I started to see my school friends again and it was so much fun! Well that's all from me, I hope you enjoyed my lockdown diary. By Gethyn ********
