Whilst Lockdown This is the hardest time of my life. I have never experienced anything like it. Well no-one in this generation has anyway. It's like being trapped inside a tiny bottle with everyone inside with you but constantly people are dying and no-one can do anything about it. Scientists are working 24/7 trying to find a cure for Covid-19. I wish I had a time machine so I could go forward in time and miss everything that is happening. Every day I say this is the worst day ever but it is true. I do get to see my friend. She lives down the road to me and because I back on to a park she comes down to my back gate and sometimes I'm allowed to go out and have a social distance play with her. There is a couple of things that I have had some fun doing like going on my new trampoline. The only reason I got the trampoline is because of Covid-19 that's one good thing. I have written some songs as well 6 so far. I have also been doing online calls to some of my friends and have calls with Brownies. Because we have been doing online activities Brown Owl and Snowy Owl are going house to house and delivering badges to all the girls. I have been doing lots of gymnastics. In this short time I have learnt how to do a handstand into bridge and a back bend. I have been doing online courses as well like philosophy and improv. I want to learn how to play guitar but mum said it would be easier if I learnt how to play ukelele first. So I have been taking ukulele lessons and have just performed the song Lava from the film in an online concert that is on Facebook and YouTube. Daddy has to do online shopping because we cannot go to the shops. He buys for my house, my 89 year old grandma, my 90 year old grandad and my uncle's house because we're not allowing them to go out and get it themselves because it's too risky. He wears a mask and goes to collect it. Sometimes I help him wash all the shopping and write my family's names on who's is who. Me and my friend are making a dance for circus camp next year. We have to make a bit of it ourselves and then show it to one another when we next do a video call. I have been doing a lot of drawing. I have got a whole list of drawings and have been drawing them for my friends. I went to the beach it was so busy. We were all meant to be socially distancing but instead everyone was squashed together like peas in a pod but not so friendly to each other. We found a space though it was not that close to other people so that was good. I had grown out of all of my swimming costumes so mum had an idea to cut one of them in half so it was a bikini. I was sooo happy to go to the beach I had not been out for over three months so it felt amazing to get out of my home. It's good because I have not been watching as much TV and because I have not wanted to watch it as much so that is a big improvement for me. I have had lots of other things to do so I have not had time for TV. I've been doing other things like gymnastics, reading, writing and games. At bedtime mum reads a story to me. It's my favourite book it's called Mines of the Minotaur. We have just read Secret of the Sirens and The Gorgons Gaze by Julia Golding. There is one more book in the series. I had a ice cream from an ice cream van in lockdown it was the first one I have had in ages. It had lime sauce on it I had never had lime sauce before but it tasted really nice. I really cannot wait for this Lockdown / Covid-19 to be over and I hope it will never happen again.
